Denise Stewart est installée en Oregon.
Elle commence juste à hybrider; elle s'est, jusqu'à présent presque exclusiment occupée des iris des autres.
C'est elle qui distribue les iris d'Augusto Bianco aux USA, et elle y distribuera aussi bientôt les miens !

Denise a un grand choix de TB, beaucoup de Médians et ses prix sont raisonnables.
Elle a plein de remontants qu'il me faut Ab-so-lu-ment!

Son catalogue est très précis: les parentés sont indiquées, pratiquement tous les iris ont leur photo, bref, ç'est très agréable à explorer.

Denise a eu une année catastrophique. Près de la moitié de son stock a soit pourri, soit végété, en tout cas n'a pas supporté les deux mois de pluie du printemps et la chateur torride qui a suivi.

comme vous pouvez le remarquer, ce sont surtout les TB qui ont été touchés.

Sélection naturelle, bien sûr, et pour moi qui suis au Nord de l'Europe, je préfère ne pas les avoir plutôt que les voir mourir chez moi, mais pour tous ceux qui vivent au Sud, c'est vraiment dommage.

Cela va aussi me demander un vrai travail de sacristain pour rembourser tout le monde... en tenant compte ces cours changeants des monnaies, dès que Denise aura déduit les frais de port pour ce qui reste.
Je ne vous dis pas la prise de tête...

Ce n'est pas la seule à avoir subie des dommages, c'est le cas de Barbara Aitken aussi et pour les mêmes raisons. Nous risquons là aussi d'avoir beaucoup de manquant dans nos commandes.

Ça fait parti des aléas climatiques, pas facile d'être producteur d'iris !

Denise a arraché hier, les inspecteurs pasent plus tôt que prévu, ce matin!
Les iris vont certainement arriver chez moi avant les autres, il leur faudra attendre un peu .

Je ne savais pas pour Aitken, Barbara ne m'a rien dit. Je vais lui demander des précisions.....croisons les doigts!
